I'm surprised by the number of Web 2.0 references in the Academy Awards tonight.
They are actually acknowledging new technologies such as the mobile phone and its ability to film, as well as YouTube (web2.0).
I find it interesting to see an establishment mention these new technologies, especially when they can sometimes be considered 'set in their ways' or 'traditional'.
Imagine the beauty of a film produced and delivered to the audience on the net - within its own webspace, that allows interaction - the blurring of media boundaries!!
Maybe in the future they might even produce an award that acknowledges the new possibilities on offer!
